About the Role:
Haven House in Allentown, PA is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Counselor to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling sessions to clients in need
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on client assessments
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records and case documentation
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care
- Connect clients with community resources, referrals, and support services
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches as needed
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Relevant licensure or certification (e.g., LPC, LSW, LCSW) preferred or in progress
- Prior experience in a counseling, social services, or human services setting
- Strong interpersonal and active listening skills with a client-centered approach
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, discretion, and professionalism
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care and evidence-based counseling practices
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a caseload effectively

Compensation: $20.51 per hour
